Mount Shasta, California
Thursday June 5- Sunday June 8th 2014

Mount Shasta
The mountain is the second highest volcano in the continental United States

Please join us for the International Women Fly Fishers West Coast Regional Rendezvous in beautiful Mount Shasta, California where crystal clear alpine lakes flow into stunning wild trout rivers.

We will be staying at the comfortable, historic Mount Shasta Ranch Bed and Breakfast, known for unsurpassed views of Mt. Shasta and just minutes away from the scenic Upper Sacramento River and the town of Mt. Shasta, with unique shopping and dining opportunities.

FISHING: You'll have your choice of either the Upper Sacramento or McCloud Rivers, plus nearby Baum and Castle Lakes. There's also Fall River, Hat Creek and the Lower Sacramento no more than an hour away.

SKILL BUILDING: There will be demonstrations on rigging, knots, and what flies to use before our potluck on Thursday night. Then on Friday, if you choose not to attend the casting clinic, you will be ready to fish! IWFF members familiar with the area will be available to help you locate your choice of fishing spots on Friday. Flytiers, bring your equipment.

OTHER ACTIVITIES: Opportunities abound for hiking, photography, shopping and even a visit to the oldest operating hatchery west of the Mississippi, where large, open ponds hold rainbow and brown trout for stocking mountain fishing streams, rivers and lakes.

A potluck is planned for Thursday night. (More potluck information and a sign-up form will follow.) Please bring chocolate and wine to share during the weekend, along with your own dinner beverages.
