Make the Connection in Branson, Missouri Oct. 16^th-19^th with women who love to fish and with beautiful trout!  Carolyn Parker of River Run Outfitters, Branson, MO, is the 2008 Chairman of the Festival at Pointe Royale Golf & Fishing resort.  The emphasis of this festival will be about fishing and communing with each other.  The   accommodations are spacious condominiums, with room for visitors AND equipment! Pointe Royale is on the shores of Lake Taneycomo, so you can walk to the fishing.

 The festival will begin Thursday evening with a cocktail party and slide show about the techniques used to catch trophy Lake Taneycomo brown trout.  You will be given a small box of suggested flies to use.  Fly Fish America magazine ran an article called Hillbilly

Browns by Kenneth L. Kieser in the May/June 2007 issue. He noted the next world record will probably come from Lake Taneycomo which is the White River dammed up.

These are luxury condos each unit has a pull out bed in the living room and a kitchen for your convenience.  Springfield, Mo. has the closest airport and is the home of Bass Pro.

Airport Shuttle Service between Springfield Branson Regional Airport and Branson. 

Branson City Shuttle has multi-passenger vehicles available for a flat rate.  Rates are:

            $80 per vehicle for 1-2 persons

            $94 per vehicle for 3 persons and

            $25 per person for 4 or more persons.

Faye Haering and I traveled to Branson in 2001 to fish with Carolyn and Stan Parker.

We floated the river one day in Stan’s drift boat and wade-fished the shores of Pointe Royale.  It was a memorable fishing trip for our newly formed ‘fishing buddy’ partnership. Since then Faye and I have fished many streams, rivers and saltwaters but we often say “gee we really need to get back to Branson to fish”.
