CLC Club Corner News for April, May, June 2007

IWFF has created a strong network of women fly fishers and encourages you to take the time to network with our sister women fly fishers and get to know each other by using our IWFFTalk@topica.com Discussion Line!  Simply ask to be put on the line by e-mailing Kiki Galvin at angla56@msn.com .  It's a good way for you to meet other members, get to know them, and to fly fish together.  Then, when you meet each other at a Rendezvous or the Festival in October, you can recall all the good times you spent together on a fishing trip—or you can arrange a future trip.  Here are the activities and outings that each of our clubs plan for October, November and December 2006.  You can also find all our club’s contact addresses posted on the IWFF CLC Club Directory.  IWFF continues to be a strong leader and supporter of all-women fly-fishing clubs worldwide, encouraging more women in the sport of fly fishing, which is intended to lead to a fly-fishing industry sensitive to all our needs.

Happy fishing from your Club Liaison Committee!

Tauranga Anglers Club IncorporatedActivities/Outings:  This is our winter season through September when most fishing lakes, streams and rivers close for all but a few shoreline fishing spots.  We will update you in October on club activities. Some of the bigger rivers like the Tongariro in Taupo remain open along with good winter fishing on some lakes from the shore.  Our club trips are centered around the areas where fishing is still permitted and accommodation is indoors.  It is a time to store away some fishing gear, get out our thermal wear and enjoy the odd day fishing while waiting for the next season to start.  Some say this the best time to fish while others prefer a warm place indoors.  Visit our website: www.taurangaanglersclub.netfirms.com or Contact Pauline Gohns at pgohns@xtra.co.nz  for more club information.
