INTERNATIONAL WOMEN FLY FISHERS

The International Women Fly Fishers 8th West Coast IWFF Regional Rendezvous will be held in beautiful Mount Shasta, Californ where crystal clear alpine lakes flow into stunning wild trout rivers. We will be staying at the comfortable, historic Mount Shasta Ranch Bed and Breakfast, known for its unsurpassed views of Mt. Shasta, just minutes away from the scenic Upper Sacramento River and the relaxed shopping town of Mt. Shasta. FISHING: The Upper Sacramento and McCloud Rivers. Nearby lake fishing is also available. Fall River, Hat Creek and the Lower Sacramento River are approximately one hour from Mount Shasta. Gum Boot Lake is also a great venue for a float tube located about 45 minutes away. SKILL BUILDING: For those who wish to learn how to fish new waters or fine-tune your casting skills, we have a number of wonderful local instructors including Rachel Andras and Vanessa Downs. Learn about local hatches and flies, how to read the water and the history of Mt Shasta. For those who tie flies or want to learn, bring your equipment as there will be demonstrations in fly tying.
